and see about a half dozen mentions of my new adopted city on the CMB. It's a sign! (Okay, or our football team winning is so incredibly weird that people have to make a million posts about it...)
Life is pretty good in Seattle, though I suppose it's also sleepless as late, since I got a job that requires me to be awake at 4:45 a.m. Hopefully not for long. I want to go back to working with doggies while/until I can finish my degree.
And that other big news (which some people may've seen on Facebook)? I was kinda waiting to talk to Paul because we are still good friends, and I like telling my bestest friends in real time before posting to the world... but that also requires more coordination and timing and stuff. (Paul, if you see this, be on AIM this afternoon? )
Anyway, my boyfriend (of 360 days) did propose, and seeing as we've known each other for twelve years and been close for most of that time, I felt pretty comfortable with saying yes. And happy. Yes. I love being engaged. The proposal story is pretty cute too if y'all want to hear it.
Now I have to go to work... I'm so glad I have wedding-y thoughts to get me through this way-too-early shift.

That depends on how you define "afternoon".

As I suspected and Wikipedia confirms, Seattle is nine hours behind me, which with my job and all means I can be online until two or two thirty in the Seattlean (or whatever the word is ) afternoon.

It's seriously scary how I'm collecting engaged/married exes at my age. I blame your American-ness.
But other than that , congratulations! I certainly want to hear the proposal story.
Congrats on getting engaged! *NM*

Thank you so much, everyone
And now Paul has heard the story so I can make another entry about the proposal
Congratulations!
That is awesome news. I'm happy for you.

Sounds like lots of good changes for you! I hope you like it up here in the Pacific Northwest!
