Bridget came to me a year ago on Good Friday weekend. She was obviously dropped off by someone who didn't want her or couldn't take care of her. She picked me to be her person.
Bridget's personality was pretty much the exact opposite of Scout's but I learned to accept that and love her just as much as Scout.
I didn't know when Bridget came to me that she had feline leukemia. There is no cure for FeLV, there is nothing you can do for your cat except wait for the disease to run it's course and eventually kill your cat. Get your cat vaccinated.
I only had Bridget for a year but I loved her dearly and I'll miss her as will my sister who is not really a cat person but came to love Bridget just the same.

I'm so sorry
It's always horrible to lose a pet :(
I'm very sorry.

It sounds like Bridget was a terrific kitty. *hugs*
it seems these things come in groups...
One of my classmates had to put down her cat recently and I just got a call from my dad that my old man, Buster, is going to need to be put to sleep. His kidneys are just...shot to hell and back. He's a 17 yr old cat, so he's lived a good life. I'm glad I had him.
Awww, sorry to hear that LadyLorraine.
*hugs you too*

Poor kitties :(

~hugs~
I'm sorry about your kitty. I'm glad that for her final year she found an amazing person to love her.
