Journal: Entry for The Secret Lurker
My boss, the big boss (owner) and the wife of the big boss (we will call her super boss 9000) just came into my office. Handed my my year end bonus. Wow, I knew I was going to be able to take the daughters and the girlfriend to Europe on this years bonus. But hell fire and brimstone I never thought it would be this good. I love capitalism. I love money, and yes I know that the love of money is the root of all evil, that is also why I am charitable by choice.
On sad news, my boss, who is one cool cat is leaving year end. I have been informed the job is mine if I want it. Have to have an answer to the owner by Friday.
Back when I found out I was going to be a father I was 17 years old. I remember thinking that I would be working some shit job bagging groceries or something like that for the rest of my life. But my girlfriend at the time, and I decided to get married anyway and have our daughter. I worked my ass off to take care of my family. It had now paid off. I am going to be 33 and on track to having everything I ever wanted in life.
Life is good, when you work hard for it and that hard work pays off.
