Since I've hardly been posting at all the last couple of weeks, here's what's been happening. No, I'm not dead!
I think I last posted after the sigmoidoscopy and mentioned the fevers. They lasted about a week, and got bad enough that I possibly should have just gone to the ER or something, but with enough ice packs and water and baths, we (boyfriend helped) kept them under control. Just at the point when I was going to actually do something, they started getting better. And then went away.
Here's the kicker... my stomach problems did too! Not all at once, but by this point I am basically fine. I have many good days where I feel perfectly normal. Right now I'm not on RAFO much just because I'm working a lot, which I see as a good thing for the moment (yay, being able to pay bills).
Thanks everyone for all the input/encouragement throughout the four-month sickness. I still have no idea what happened, though am going to see my GP in a few weeks for a follow-up, so she may have an opinion. My theory is that I had a persistent virus (or something) all along, and my immune system took ages to kick into gear... but once it finally did, it killed the little buggies off.
I don't know if that makes any medical sense, but it satisfies me well enough.

nah, it makes perfect sense
infectious agents can be simply horrible to work through sometimes, and unless you get a proper diagnosis, not even antibiotics will help you if it's not bacterial.
I'm glad you're feeling better

Fantastic!
I'm so glad everything is getting better.
