Because we just noticed lately how most people seem to play paragon male the first and female renegade the second round 
But "we" were all guys.
Why would you play paragon first? Paragon is the dull boring version. Why do that when I could leave a bloody mess of dead bodies across the galaxy? And I always go female when games give me a choice. Girl power!
...and sometimes it's so incredibly hard to be mean and badass to all those poor minor characters, it makes me feel horrible
I mostly play it to see what options I missed, but paragon is definitely closer to my heart
