FFXIII should only be bought for a PS3 as the graphics are much better on this system than 360. Also it is all on 1 disc, versus the 3 discs for 360. FFXIII is a great first choice.

MLB The Show '10 is the top and best-selling baseball right now. Exclusive. I haven't played it yet, but I have heard great things about it.

Hot Shots Golf: Out of Bounds-- is a great game available for cheap right now. This is the most fun golf series I have ever played, and it is great for PS3.

Lair-- I think this was a major dud, so I wouldn't bother.

Gran Turismo Prologue-- I wouldn't waste your time on this as the real game, Gran Turismo 5, is coming out in November. Gran Turismo has always been the defining Playstation exclusive.

Heavy Rain-- This game looks really intriguing. I'm going to rent it as soon as I see it available. I want to play something with a different kind of story.

God of War 3-- This game is released next week. This would be a great choice. The gameplay videos look absolutely amazing. I will probably get this.

Uncharted series--- Uncharted 2 is pure fun. The graphics are mind-blowing. It even has a pretty fun online multiplayer mode. I wouldn't skip Uncharted 2-- it was game of the year for all consoles last year for a reason.

Little Big Planet-- This game is wonderful fun. I will be getting this game eventually, but I have played quite a bit and it is a worthy rival to Mario.

MAG-- I've heard great things about this game, but I think I am probably going to get Bad Company 2 instead. But if like large-scale multiplayer shooter games, there is nothing that can match this on any system.

Ratchet and Clank: A Future in Time-- Ratchet and Clank is one of the long-running exclusive series on the Playstation game systems. These are really fun games. I am not sure how to describe this kind of game-- but it is definitely worth it to watch some gameplay videos of Ratchet and Clank on amazon. These games especially appeal to kids, but a lot of adults like them too.

Demon Souls-- This game has kind of a cult following, even among people here at this site. I haven't played it, as I don't play a lot of RPG games, but it supposedly a great game. I heard it has a very hard difficulty level.
