I love uncharted 2... my favorite game on the PS3 so far

Great combat, the harder levels require some strategy. I absolutely love the dragon sniper. This game is beautiful, and I loved the Himalayan setting. This game is very scripted, but I personally haven gotten bored of exploring many of the open-world games out there.
The multi-player is also very fun, but sometimes frustrating because the weapons seem somewhat unbalanced--- especially the shotgun.

This game is as close to flawless in every aspect as I've ever seen. Platforming, gunplay, controls, AI, music, graphics, story, it excells at everything it does - and it does alot!
I'm particularly impressed with the controls and the combat. The targeting is much smoother and the weapon layout (grenades have a specific button now) are much improved over the first game. The best I've seen as 3rd person shooters/action games go. It makes it very easy to get involved in the game, so much better than FPS's. And it doesn't hurt that Drake is a great character! The acting is superb, laugh out loud funny at some of the most unexpected times.
I love everything about the story. I think it's got everything I've ever grown up fantasizing about. They start out with a great historical tale in Marco Polo's exploration of China and the eventual return trip. It is said that of the 14 ships and 600 passangers making the trip home, only 1 ship and 18 people made it. These 13 ships make up "Marco Polo's lost fleet" which should have held a fantastic trove from Kublai Khan's treasuries, maybe even the key to Shambhala, or Shangri-La. With locales in Istanbul, Borneo, Nepal, and up in the Himalayan mountains there's real diversity (including the amazing train sequence) in the chapters. Throw in a bunch of guns, some Yeti's, and a love triangle with two beautiful (albeit animated) women, and I couldn't ask for more! And yet Uncharted's online multiplayer deathmatch easily stands up to Modern Warfare's for a fun time killing, or in my case mostly being killed by, others.
It should be said that this is by far the best in-game graphics I've experienced. The game seamlessly goes from cut-scene to gameplay - sometimes without notice. Amazing.
Special note should be made for the music. I'm a big fan of video game music, I buy cd's and go to orchestral concerts and such, and this is some of the best I've ever heard. My wife who has zero interest in anything video game related even commented on how beautiful the title score is. Really moving stuff.
So yeah. One of the few games I would gladly pay full price for! If you own a PS3, do yourself a favor and buy this game (I recommend playing Drake's Fortune first as it will give you much backstory, and is an excellent game in it's own rite). If you don't own one...well this might be a reason to buy it (I love my PS3!).

I think I'm one of the only PS3 owners in existence who doesn't like the Uncharted games.
