I think I'm one of the only PS3 owners in existence who doesn't like the Uncharted games.

Just beat number 1, and am currently going through number 2, which I think I like even less than the original. I haven't finished it yet, so I'll reserve judgment and not say much about it until I'm done.
My main complaint with both games is that I absolutely loathe the combat. If I could have pressed a button to kill all enemies, I gladly would have done it at every opportunity. Personal preference for the most, really, as I hate FPSes (which this is close enough to during combat), and I hate cover / fire mechanics. I almost didn't beat the first game because of the combat. Thankfully they have Very Easy mode in the second, which is good, because it's much closer to a "Win" button. I'd still rather have god mode.
Very Easy also brings hints up more quickly, which is another one of my complaints. Uncharted is a highly cinematic game, which is probably what most people love about it, and which means that the game basically only ever has one way to accomplish any given task. I just got done playing Assassin's Creed 2, and the differences between the two could not illustrate this any more clearly. First of all, I often have absolutely no clue where I'm supposed to go next, and end up just waiting around until the hint system tells me. Even with that, I'll see a ledge I can get up to, and say, "oh, I'll just grab on this door frame, jump to that window frame, and then pull myself up." Except Drake pretends the door frame doesn't exist. Even if he just used one identical to it two minutes ago. There's only one climbing path to the goal, even if it looks like there are others, and this is very frustrating. I ended up using a walk through for the first game at about six separate points, and I'm about to break it out for the first time on the second game, as I'm currently in a building being attacked by a helicopter. I'm in a room with no exits, and if I stay too long, I die. Whoo, it's so fucking fun.
It often gets to the point where I gleefully jump Drake off of a cliff over and over again, or let him get shot in the head repeatedly, just so I can hear the characters weep and scream and gnash their teeth at his death while I chuckle in delight and satisfaction. I really, really hate playing the game a significant portion of the time.
Outside of that, hey, the environments are spectacular, the writing is fantastic, the voice acting is top notch, and the characters are likable. Which is sort of like going to a restaurant and saying, "The meal was absolute shit, and I hated it. But the presentation was nice, and the staff was charming, and the ambiance was great!"
I still don't understand why people are shitting such enormous bricks over this game. It's just a well written and well produced highly cinematic adventure game. Well, I know that that's why they're shitting bricks, I just don't understand why that's so great. It's not like it hasn't been done before, for one, and for two, I almost feel like it'd be better off as a movie. The gaming segments feel almost superfluous when they're not incredibly fucking annoying and un-fun.
