Re: Yeah...uh...that was on the SECOND DAY of the website.

I didn't even bother clicking on this MB (or the WoT one, or the Movies one, etc.) until after the initial euphoria wore off and I got used to checking more than one board. I suspect a lot of people were like that.
There was more activity in the first week than there is now, both in terms of unique posters, and total threads. Perhaps your euphoria held you to the community board, but the inverse was true for a lot of people. Curiosity about the new sections brought a lot of people over this way, and many have since faded off and gone elsewhere.
I don't understand why it's hard to add "board games" or "card games" to the mix. Part of why I don't post here a lot is that it still seems to be about computer/console games. And why do I need to go out and find people to lobby? Adding a category isn't a major overhaul of the site...
It's not hard to add a category for card games. Or for dice games, or lawn games, or word puzzle games, or any other strange topic you can think of. Frankly, though, the issue isn't a matter of difficulty, it's a matter of usefulness. Categories are supposed to differentiate a large swathe of posts from the pack, in order to make it easier for people to find things they're interested in. However, card games receive so little attention here that they just don't need their own category. I just went through every post on this board (doesn't take long to scan subjects) and there are SIX THREADS about card games. That number includes two of yours (one of which is this post) and a spam post by snoop about pinochle. We have less than one post per month on the topic of card games.
As to you not posting much here, well. . .there's not much I can do about the site being about video games. That's just how it is. Video games in modern culture are VASTLY more popular than CCGs, Tabletop games, etc. Even among geeks. RAFOs game section is necessarily going to reflect that. We welcome posts on other subjects, obviously, but adding a category isn't going to bring in droves of wayward CCG players.
Bottom line: categories, like forums, are added when they're needed. For six threads, CCGs don't need one. You don't have to do any lobbying, but until someone can show me a decent reason to add a category (lots of posts on the subject, or lots of member interest) I don't see that it's necessary.
Once again, WHY ARE ALL THE CATEGORIES FOR VIDEO GAMES?!! This is about Magic.

I'm not interested in hanging around 14-year-olds just for a small possible win.

I've always shunned decks with more than two colours as being too slow
