Since that's a fairly good range of games, that are definitely a large step above Peggle. That said, I still have no clue what suggestions to offer you.

You may possibly want to consider the Persona games though. I started Persona 3 a little while ago (my first game by them) so I can't comment on it too much, but it seems like a cross between an rpg and the Sims. I don't know if that's good enough or to the extent you need though, so perhaps someone here who has finished the game can give a better explanation.
