Then a monthly fee in order to actually play the game.
The only MMORPG I ever shelled out for was EVE Online, as the amount you paid every month was tiny and you got every single expansion - and those expansions are massive, bigger than their WoW equivalents and far more frequently released - free of charge, instead of having to shell out another £20-£25 a time for them.
D&D Online has recently gone free and I was thinking about maybe checking it out.
