There would be lots of complaints it some people could be Jedi, and others could not, based on seemingly random factors.
Probably, but if we actually lived in the Star Wars Universe, it would be seemingly random factors that decides if you're Force Sensitive or not. It was just a suggestion, not a be all and end all solution. I just think if 10000 Jedi are running around saving the universe it wouldn't end up being the real Star Wars experience.
Sometimes you have to compromise realism for enjoyment, though. If someone buys a star wars MMO for 60 bucks, you can darn well bet they expect to be able to play a Jedi, and won't be happy when they can't. Even if it's more realistic that way. You'd end up with disgruntled people quitting the game, or re-rolling and grinding out another character just to try and get a jedi. They wouldn't be happy about having to do that .
Also, I know it was just a suggestion. It was a good one, too. I do think it'd be pretty entertaining to have that system, and see how it ended up. I was just posting a response as to why I didn't think it was feasible, that's all.
Has anyone else been following The Old Republic?

Looks good, but I've sworn off pay-to-play MMORPGs. Too much investment of time/money. (mostly time) *NM*
