So I and a few others are having a private dinner with some recruiters from 38 Studios tomorrow night. It's a start up company, haven't put out any games yet, but they've managed to get attention for a variety of reasons. The studio was founded by Curt Schilling, the Red Sox player, and he's somehow managed to convince Todd McFarlane and R. A. Salvatore to join the company. They're currently working on an unannounced MMO, and they recently bought out Big Huge Games to help them out with it.

I find the studio very interesting, and there are a number of other factors involved, like location, that make this a very, very attractive employer to me.

So here's where the WoT comes in: one of the guys I'm meeting is their senior producer, and a bit of investigation on my part has revealed that the very first game he ever worked on was the Wheel of Time FPS, as an environment artist. This is a super-awesome talking point that I want to pursue, so I'm hoping to get my hands on a demo of the game. If anyone knows where I can find it, I'll love you forever.

EDIT: And it doesn't hurt that I've meant to try this game out for a long time, anyways.
