I've been trying to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, and believe the publicity stunt line of thought. When I watched a clip from the ceremony though, he was awfully stonefaced. I'd have expected him to ham it up for the cameras a little more if that was all he was after.
I think what we really need to get out of this article, though, is something most of us already know: Japanese people are crazy. The whole lot of 'em.
