I've played. It's good, but hard. Not very story-centric.

The story really is basically "The world is screwed. Go kill a bunch of guys, until you beat all the bosses."
Not that this is always a bad thing- it's essentially what Shadow of the Colossus had, for example- but don't go in expecting a huge narrative. There are NPCs, and a story, but it's very dark-fantasyish.
I've only played a few hours, so I've only seen low power-levels. Good times, though. The many weapon types all have different styles and strategies, and you have to pay attention to every enemy you face, even the mooks.
