Looks great, and it deserves praise, but I believe it's somewhat overrated.

I'll likely buy it on the PC, but I think it benefits from having such awful competition. I mean, really, what other good super hero games have you played? There are previous few. Because of this, no matter how good the game is, I think its reviews receive a bit of padding. Again, based on the demo I played, this definitely looks like a game worth playing. It just happens to have received a ridiculous amount of attention and PR.
There's also going to be a lot of competition out of its genre this fall, so it's unlikely to receive Game of the Year level of praise. (Modern Warfare, Left4Dead2, Dragon Age, etc)
