I used to replay games with a nostalgic fervor, but those days have mostly passed. My patience for older games is mostly gone. That's not to say that I don't like them anymore, but that I just can't prioritize the time required to get through most of them.
I might do another reinstall of Super Metroid, but let's be real... That game only takes a few hours to complete. The days of replaying older titles like NES Dragon Warrior are behind me. I tried replaying Zelda II on a sick day the other year, and only got about halfway through. To be fair, I guess half of that game is worth most of a normal game's required patience. 
The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.
