I won a poker tournament a few weeks ago so I had a little cash to spare. I wasn't in a hurry to buy the 360, but Target had a great deal where they game you a free controller if you buy an Elite or Pro.
I still don't have any games yet--- I think I'm going to get a games pass that gives you lots of rentals for a set fee. I used to have one at blockbuster and it was a great deal, but I have to see if they changed the terms. Anyone have any recommendations?
Target has a 90-day return policy, so if I don't like my 360 I will return it and get a PS3. I get 3 months to try it out!

I'm having a huge internal debate right now and I need your opinions. I want to upgrade now that both systems have dropped price, but I can't figure out what system to upgrade to.
I love the 360 and I play Call of Duty and Halo 3 often at my friends house. I want the 360 for the online options. My main concerns with the 360 are the Red Ring of Death, and that the PS3 will gradually take over the market of the 360 as it has superior technology.

Even now, I still play many games on that system such as Rock Band, Kingdom Hearts, Soul Calibur, Hot Shots Golf, and Buzz. My main concerns of the PS3 are the more limited online options (are there many games where you can play with 30 people online at once?), and that my friends don't use this system.
It seems to me that the PS3 started out slow, but now it is picking up major momentum. Anyway, I'd like to see what some of you guys have to say.
