I have a few games I'm eyeing, but I've otherwise resolved to buy less.

You know... because I'm married and responsible now. Or something.
In reality, I just know that I've bought plenty of games I'll never get around to playing. So, I'd like to avoid more of that.
What I would buy if it's on a steep discount:
- Arma II (for the Day-Z mod)
- Crysis 2 (which is back on Steam now, after EA was being a jerk with Origin)
- The Witcher 2
- Max Payne 3 (tho I doubt it'll be lower than 50% off, or even 33%, since it's new-ish)
- Any Indie Pack that looks good and doesn't contain too many games I already own
Maybe Portal 2 for $5 so I could have my PC & Mac do co-op together if someone's over?

The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.

The steep sales generate more players/buzz, and the games sell more afterward at normal price.

Tried that one. Very unusual. Not exactly "fun".

I enjoy it. Then again, I believe I could be called Paradox fanboy.

Thanks for the tip - my computer can't handle CK2, but CK1 seems promising so far.

Half-Life 2 is well worth playing, even years after the fact. I can't speak to the episodes. *NM*
