I just completed ME3. And maybe I'm unique in everything, but I thought that the original-intent ending was great. I didn't download the patch or whatever for the other endings....I just played it "as is".

I chose the Synthesis ending (cause I didn't like the control aspect), and I couldn't stand the idea of killing the Geth (and maybe EDI). I then watched it play out. And I thought it was great.....

I went to YouTube and watched the DNC endings....and I just didn't like it. Sure, I got some voiceovers and some slides of the surviving team, but it just seemed so....I don't know. Obvious. It was just too happy ending....too...nothing really changed, we just won.

When I ended it, I destroyed the FTL capabilities of...the universe? I also happened to break the cycle. Sure, everything is different, and maybe it was the Reaper's intent all along to "live", but the peace was worth it.

I loved this series (well, game 2 & 3 since I have a PS). I'm glad that I tried it. I'm also glad that the series had a good finality to it. Ultimately, I don't see what people had such a big issue with. Maybe someone here can help me understand?
