So I've been playing some games (Saints Row 2) on my PC lately. However, I've found driving with only a keyboard and mouse to be ... infuriating.
Now I recall hearing once that you could connect an xbox 360 controller to your PC and use that as a gamepad. I was wondering if anyone here has done that and if there was a special adapter or anything I needed.
If it matters, I'm running Windows 7.
Thanks!

Assuming the game supports gamepads, all you have to do is plug it in.

Certain games, often those from XBLA, will ONLY support the 360 pad for the controller option.

If you have a wired controller, just plug it in. Otherwise, you need a receiver (link inside).
