The concept was great, but every game I tried to play ended up being a constant tech tree race. It's possible that I was "doing it wrong," though. Maybe if you locked in what 'ages' or tech were available, it would be more fun. (kind of like how AoE2 wasn't fun if you started out in the stone age each time)
