1. Saints Row 3-- open-world with tons of fun and hilarious things to try

2. Mass Effect series-- this series is great. I only played Mass Effect 2 but it is really good. Mass Effect 3 is also coming out in a couple months. Most people really like this series, especially ME2.

3. Red Dead Redemption-- this was my GOTY in 2010. A really fun game with near endless gameplay, especially when you add in the Zombies add-on

4. LA Noire-- I really enjoyed this game. I had a lot of fun working through the cases and driving around in 1940s cars. It doesn't have as much open-world experience as GTA4, but a lot of people really love LA Noire.

5. Dragon Age series-- This is a great RPG series by Bioware. I would definitely check it out if you like RPG games. Although I would probably play Skyrimjob first.

6. Portal 2-- if you like puzzle games this was a great game. I would definitely delve into the portal series at some point. It is pretty cheap right now too.

7. Batman Arkam Asylum-- This is on a lot of GOTY lists for 2011. It has a lot of stealth and melee gameplay and is super fun.
