In a vacuum it can look like Magic is very expensive, but when compared to other hobbies (drinking, video games, women) it's actually pretty low on the cost-scale. It's all about how much you're into it.

I do love Munchkin though, and I can see the appeal to a non-trading card game such as Game of Thrones, for instance.
