I used to be that way, but the last hard copy of a game I bought was Starcraft II. It was only because an in-store deal saved me $20. Otherwise, I think the last one was Call of Duty in 2007.

GoG doesn't do the same things that Steam does. It just sells games and lets you download them. Steam is more of a community.

You're into MMOs for the lion's share of your PC gaming time, right? WoW? Yeah, I can see why you don't like it. The thing is, I hate WoW and most MMOs, and Steam offers the UI with convenient sales and community features. My friends use it. It has built-in voice chat, etc.

I do miss the golden age of PC gaming box content, though. Mid/late-90s Blizzard games. Mmmm. That'll never return, though, and I don't like collectors edition junk collecting dust. So, I stick with convenience and sales.
The sword might be grateful to the forge fire, but never fond of it.
