Part of the problem with 3DS is that it's been adevrtised as a 3D DS, and not much more. If it's a significant upgrade and Ninty start doing 2D games exclusively for 3DS that are worthwhile (and advertised), then it may rebound at a lower price point, lower than this $170. But at present I can't see any reason to get one to replace my current DS unless I want 3D, which I don't.
