I honestly rarely have trouble with that. Hm. Some tips: beetnemesis Send a noteboard - 06/07/2011 01:35:13 PM
L4D is such a team-oriented game, that one player can severely screw up the flow. Best way for harmonious play is to follow these guidelines:

1. If you're playing on Realism, have a microphone. Just... you NEED a microphone on Realism. Typing isn't fast enough.

2. As a corollary, TALK. If it's not Realism, chat is acceptable, but communication is key. It's much harder to kick someone if you've built up a connection.

2A- "Y" is all-speak. "U" is team-speak. They're right next to each other on the keyboard, but do very different things.

3. Stick together. Running off is a great way to get pounced/smoked/charged/jockeyed. Plus, once you save your teammates a few times, they'll be less likely to kick you.

4. However... don't be afraid to run off. In Versus, especially, people are going to die. Points are the key. If you think you can save people, excellent, but if you're low on ammo or health and they're being charged on the other side of a room full of zombies, you're going to have to abandon them. Being abandoned sucks, but everyone respects a good last-ditch solo run.

5.TURN OFF YOUR FLASHLIGHT WHEN YOU HEAR A WITCH

6. If you're the tank, realize you're not invincible. Concentrated machine gun fire can definitely bring you down, and a healthy survivor is as fast as you are. Try and toss rocks at them from afar, but NOT at point-blank range- too easy to dodge, and while you're ripping up a rock, they're shooting you.

7.Don't shoot your teammates.
I amuse myself.

Honestly, yes -- nearly every game has at least one friend. (PC) It's best played that way. - 06/07/2011 02:21:46 PM 587 Views
