The single player really is just as long as AC2. (Note to all: Try the multiplayer!)

Rome is BIG, too.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the other games, but the cities kinda felt similar after a while. Rome, even though it's just one city, has tons of variation. Parts with giant architecture, more suburban areas, countryside...
It's very good, although once you really start leveling up your apprentice Assassins, it can be a bit easy.
Don't ignore the multiplayer, though! It's REALLY well done, in my opinion. Unique, and quite fun. You don't need to know anyone else with the game to play it, as the best game variants are solo play, anyway.
