I thought it got bogged down under some of the expansions though.

Bogged down how? For the most part, it just added some units and buildings and civs, right? The major additions I can think of are Corporations and Espionage, and I honestly rarely use either.


I also very rarely used them, because they weren't very useful. So why even have them there at all? Another big thing was the introduction of the Vatican as a way to win a diplomatic victory mid-game. Hardly ever useful, and mostly just irritating. Plus the game as a whole ran really slowly on my computer.
