Great game so far. It's got GTA-like driving, Red Dead-like shooting and AC-like running/climbing/brawling.
It's a bit like a TV crime series, with various episodes and a main character who rises in rank in the department.
It looks wonderful, has great sound/music, and does a great job pulling off the 1940's LA theme.
By far the most important aspect of this game is the detail of the faces. I can't stress enough how different this is from any other game that has been made. It's amazing, and really allows the player to become immersed in the game. The fact that you can literally tell motive and truthiness from a person simply by watching them is unreal. Humans are very, very good at recognizing facial cues of course, and Rockstar (or rather Team Bundi) deserves high praise for pulling this off in the game. And while I was at first worried that the ability to tell lying from truth would become cookie cutter, my repeated failure to get this right shows I was wrong.
At this point, it's a must have.

I would slave, to pave the way, to sink your ship of fools.

Not unless I pick up a bargain-priced console, since R* decided to snub PCs. *NM*

I have to wonder if Valve's delay for HL2:Ep3 is related to utilizing this facial expression tech.
