First things first, repeatedly shipping back pieces and waiting weeks for the replacements is not nearly as easy, relaxing, or fun as you seem to think

In my case, I had a motherboard problem that broke several other components... maybe? Over a period of about 3-4 months, I replaced every single part in my computer, more or less. One at a time. Each time, it would seem to fix the problem for a short while, then start breaking again. Never did quite get to the bottom of it.

About half of the time, I was taking it to a computer shop for them to look at. Most of the money I lost was from those service fees, as opposed to actually purchasing parts.
