Which is fair enough, I just think it's an unusual viewpoint.

Most PC games require a mouse. Since it's difficult to use a mouse on a bedspread or beanbag chair, it follows that most PC games require a desk. The games that can be enjoyed with a touchpad are rare, and generally of the flash-game / casual variety. Flash/casual games don't require "gaming hardware," and can be played just fine on low-end laptops (I suggested that KingGeedorah buy one of these along with his desktop).
In other words, if you hate sitting at a desk, there's no reason for you to have a gaming computer, so the "what if he just doesn't like desktop computers" argument probably doesn't apply.

I'm in the market for a decent gaming laptop...

I'm special. I effectively tank with a touch pad.

Ah, you're one of THOSE tanks. On behalf of WoW players everywhere, I hate you.

Pretty sure that consistent touch pad use would give me carpal tunnel. *NM*

Sounds good. Keep in mind that buying a low-end laptop doesn't mean you can't game on the go.

Definitely worth mentioning, but there's always something better just a couple months down the road. *NM*
