This is actually my favorite of the 3rd Generation of the FF's

I've actually played it through twice....the second, was a complete...as in get everything....play through.
So here are some thoughts from my two play through experiences.
1) It is much easier if you differentiate your characters at first. And actually, I had two distinct teams...so basically one tank, one auxillary player, and one primary magic user per team. I leveled them together, and switched out the teams together as well.
And even though (eventually) all the players had every license, I still kept some players to their weapons the entire time. It was just the way that I played it.
2) You will get used to the battle system. Like some of the others said, I didn't ever really use the summons. I would play around with them every now and again, but I wouldn't fight with them.
3) Its a fairly long game. I never went for a fast play through. The first one (which was naturally done with no guide/internet help) took about 70 hours for me. The 100% completion one took me 145hrs (saved time).
4) Yeah, the voice acting for some of the characters is fairly high on the lame-meter. However, some of the other stuff in the game is very good. The total world-build nature of it was very cool.
All in all, I greatly enjoyed the game. And if it was available on the PS Network to buy for my PS3, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Note: For those of you who are curious, this is how I have seperated the FF games into generations....
Generation 1: FF, FFII (Japan FFIV), and FFIII (Japan FFVI)
Generation 2: FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FF Tactics
Generation 3: FFX, FFX-2, FFXII, FFXIII

There was something odd about the voices in that game.

Saz from FFXIII isn't a Mr. T clone, and was probably my favorite character.

Actually Saz was a fantastic character, and actually pretty deep if you really wanna think about it. *NM*

Moogles is one reason why FFIII (NA version) was so awesome. Mog was the coolest.
