Most of the combos require button mashing...but more dealing with timing...hit button, wait a sec, hit again...or tap,tap,tap.
The special moves require things like Hold LB, press up on left stick, and press X. But those are easy enough to do...that is about the worst you see. The reason I said it was complicated is all the button simultaneous pressing.
