Fallout - New Vegas: So how did it end for you? ironclad Send a noteboard - 28/12/2010 10:31:41 AM
I am particularly curious about how things worked out with you guys and all the factions. I finished yesterday and I already miss it alot, but I really liked the ending with the voice over explaining everything that happened afterwards. Great game.

So I decided to work for the NCR rather early on and stuck with that. Killed Caesar shortly before the finale while searching for proof for the Great Khans that he is no reliable ally. The masked man in the end was no match for me once I convinced him to fight man against woman (in my case).

I didn't give the chip to House but killed him too when the NCR came up with that idea. I am still not entirely sure who was supposed to be the good guy in the whole NCR - House - Yes Man scenario. I stopped helping Yes Man when a mission told me the NCR wouldn't like that any longer. I felt a little bad for House, but my loyalty to the NCR didn't leave me any options at that point anymore. I can't play someone who switches sides every 5 minutes.

I convinced the Great Khans not to join the Legion, they moved North instead.
I even made up with the Powder Gangers a little bit who were my first enemies in the beginning, when I helped the ones from Vault 19 join the Khans.
I helped the Brotherhood of Steel make peace with the NCR and to make the Boomers NCR allies for the final fight.
I was always at good terms with the followers of the Apocalypse, so it was a little sad to see that the NCR was taking back their fort in the future.
The doc in Jacobstown wasn't done with his research to help the super mutants when I played the showdown, so their future was a bit sad.
I was at rather good terms with all casino houses on the strip, solved the quests they gave me etc. Wasn't too fond of the Omertas, but didn't really get the chance to destroy them easily.

My general politics for consistency with my character were the same as in Fallout 3: If someone's nice to me I will be nothing but nice and helpful back, but if they attack me, or repeatedly give me an attitude, they are doomed.

Of course this makes me curious as to how the game works if you side with Legion, and I still wonder how people play the characters who always pick the meanest reply option and attack everyone instantly. How do you even get on the strip then? How do you ever get missions if you piss everyone off?

So, how did you guys play it? :)
