I cannot call it the greatest game, as that high distinction is reserved for TIE Fighter, but Oregon Trail is amazing. I still play it on occasion.
When I went to Wyoming a few years ago, I learned that I-80 follows the old Oregon Trail, so I stopped at all of the landmarks from the game. That made the drive tolerable at least.
