Don't get me wrong, I agree the HD5770 is an awesome card Roland00 Send a noteboard - 02/11/2010 06:14:16 PM
I have a similar card the HD4890. The HD5770 is about 70 to 90% the speed of my card (the lower the resolution the closer the difference, the higher the resolution the greater the difference so in your case about 80% to 90%). My card though is louder and hotter. The GTX460 768 on the other hand is tied with my card or in some games 10% faster (yet at the same time being quieter and using less power).

With my card I haven't found a game that I couldn't play on either high or ultra settings. That said I am probably going to upgrade when the 6900 series comes out...just because (I also like the temperature and noise to be lower during idle use, something that ATI vastly improved with the 5000 and 6000 series.)

On Wow my HD4890 I have never seen the card dip below 60fps as long as I keep everything on Ultra besides the Shadows (and I game at 1920x1080 which is a higher res than yours.) I expect the same to happen with your HD5770. (Can't speak of Dalaran yet for I haven't got that far).

Dragon Age your card will eat like butter, a better video card will not improve it at all, that said a quad core would help since DA is one of the few games which likes quad cores. You should be getting a similar frame rate as Mass Effect 2.
