1. Do you play Good, Neutral or Evil?


I almost always play Chaotic Good/Neutral Good/Chaotic Neutral characters, in tabletop and in video games. I find that I like to do "good" things, but in the ways that my character feels necessary. Sometimes I'll even start a character as Lawful, but he often switches to neutral sometime later.

2. Do base him/her on yourself/a character from a film or book/someone you made up/don't put that much thought into it?


That's a tricky one. Whenever I play video games (BG/BG2/Dragon Age/etc) I base the first character I play off of me, to extremes. I take my attitude and magnify it basically.

For tabletop, my favorite characters are the ones based off of me (call me self-centered, because I am), but I've tried all sorts of things to broaden my experience.

3. As you play do you think "how would my character handle this?" or do you act first think later?


I always take that into account. My fiancee was actually making fun of me the other day because I sometimes wait to respond in Dragon Age while debating how that character would respond based upon the imaginary personality I gave him.

4. Do you think of a little backstory for them?

In tabletop, I actually write a 6-10 page story out. In video games, no backstory because the game usually provides it.

5. Mage/Rogue/Priest/Warrior?


Almost exclusively Gish. (This term means when you are a hybrid warrior/arcane caster, if you're not aware already.
