I'm not trying to argue with you, I'm curious, I know you're into law.

I mean, it's a forum that Blizzard controls. No one is required to post on it, so if you know your name will be displayed when you make a post, and you make it anyway ... how could you sue them for displaying your name?

Also, newspapers do it all the time. Letters to the editor must come with a person's name, which is printed with the letter. There's nothing illegal about that.

There are dozens and dozens of other World of Warcraft forums people can post on, some of them tremendously popular, where they can be as anonymous as they like. They just won't be the official forums.

It's definitely not a very smart move on their part, though it sounds like they're being forced into it if they want to let South Koreans post on their forums, but ... what's illegal about requiring people print their real names with their opinions on a privately-owned forum?
