*shrug* I don't think a game should ever really be reviewed based on super-high difficulty modes lord-of-shadow Send a noteboard - 30/05/2010 04:33:11 PM
The entire mode exists purely so that gluttons for punishment can enjoy bragging rights when they finish it. It doesn't diminish the quality of the rest of the game.

And if they got rid of it, then those same gluttons for punishment wouldn't have a mode to "enjoy." If they made the mode easier, then the sort of people who like it now would just ask for an even harder mode - because what they want is a mode that is unfairly punishing, because that is the kind of mode that will weed out most players, and actually give them a rare accomplishment when they trudge through it.

Basically, if you're the sort of person that the mode is designed for, then great - you WANT a game experience that is unfair and brutal to you. If not, then having it in the game doesn't diminish your enjoyment of it as long as you stay away from it.

I've played it, yeah. Like I told Shadow, it was pretty easy. - 30/05/2010 08:54:21 PM 492 Views
It will vary, based on your class, too. *NM* - 02/06/2010 02:28:42 PM 196 Views
