That sounds like a fairly serious problem. I have three things that you might try while waiting for someone with better ideas.
Gah, it was supposed to be an easy fix. Don't tell me it's a serious problem.
1) Delete the firefox folder entirely. Don't rely on the uninstall tool, just wipe it out. Maybe try the uninstall tool after that, if it can still recognize that FF is on your computer.
Alright, I was going to try this, but I wasn't sure if Firefox had tendrils that extended elsewhere in the computer. I did delete it, and uninstalling it from the uninstall tool, and I'll try reinstalling it after I finish another scan.
2) Run more scans. Super Anti Spyware and Malware Bytes are both good ones.
Alright, I might try this if other things don't work. Scans just take a while, so I dislike doing them.
3) Try to reinstall without uninstalling. I don't know what happens when you do this for firefox, but a lot of times you'll be given a "repair installation" option.
Tried that, nothing. It doesn't open up, same as the uninstall.
No idea how helpful the above suggestions are, but I figured some sort of response was better than none.
I guess the major question should be, do I bother reinstalling Firefox? Or was it not the cause of the problem, just a collateral damage thing? Any way to find out?

Alright, Firefox(safe mode) did nothing. Didn't open up, didn't freeze me. *NM*
