It's just ridiculous to say that LeBron James is unequivocally better than anyone else at pure scoring in the NBA. People forget too quickly about other great players like Kobe, heck even Wade could give LeBron at least a run for his money. Even if you think LeBron will win most of the time, it's still not EVERY time as he suggested. That's absolute bull and pure arrogance. Especially coming from a guy who's only won the scoring title once. It reminds me of another stupid comment by Penny Hardaway when he said he'd average 40 ppg after Shaq left. It's just flat out stupid.
Exactly. And if you read carefully, LeBron never said any of that.
And if you're saying "I could win if I tried" it's an implication that others couldn't, ergo YOU are better. That a top 5 player whose sole goal is to win the scoring championship would win goes without saying. It was pretty clear that LeBron was saying he could win it NO MATTER WHAT if he tried. If you don't believe me, check out a PTI rerun where they talked about what he said at length.
If YOU read carefully, you'll see that what he means isn't so much in what he says but what he DOESN'T say. If I told you I could beat you in Chess if I tried, what does that mean? That you don't try in chess so I'd win? Or that I think I'm better than you?
I think the answer is clear if you read carefully.
You must unlearn what you have learned.
