Leave it to the "King" to try and say something modest, yet find himself unable to do so. I mean, give him credit for trying to say "it's all about the team" but does he REALLY have to say "I could win the scoring title every year if I really tired"? If he's so confident, why does he need to say it? Does he really think he's that much better than Kobe and Durant? Because I have news for LeBron, he's not. Kobe easily has a much better skill set and Durant for his age is better than LeBron was.

The "King" as usual is ridiculously full of himself.

Seriously though, if you think about it, he's right. If all he wanted to do was score points individually then he could do it. Think about all the assists that dishes out... he could just keep most of them for himself.
If you look at how Kobe and Lebron play, Kobe is more on the ball and Lebron is more off the ball. If Lebron just wanted to score points, he could do a lot more...

I disagree with LeBron is off the ball more than Kobe. I've watched both teams as much as I can and this is what you'll see. If LeBron is on the court, with teh exception of teh rare fastbreak in which he isn't already up the court, he'll touch the ball every single play. Kobe may take more shots, but he doesn't demand the ball nearly as much unless its needed. He'll let the offense work it self out. Sure, there are periods in games where he demands the ball and attacks, but LeBron does it, too.

LeBron has a higher assist average, but that doesn't automatically means he passes more. It means he's involved in every single play more. I see more insecurity in LeBron in games than I do in Kobe. Lets look at a stat to see who shoots more compared to the rest of their team.

The Lakers have taken 5979 shots this season and Kobe has taken 1435 of those shots. Thats a solid 24% of the teams field goals.

The Cavs have taken 5590 shots this season and LeBron has taken 1404 of those. Thats a solid 25% of the teams field goals.

So they both shoot pretty equally. The difference is the offenses. The Lakers run the triangle offense which has a tendency to spread teh assists around. There is good movement and it just doesn't give individual players high assist numbers. The Cavs run the "Give the Ball to LeBron" offense. This means that basically everything on the court revolves around LeBron. That of course means he's going see more assists, since the goal is to give the ball to him and allow him to make something happen.
You must unlearn what you have learned.
