and blunt, if you have to. Tell her it makes you mad, but don't say so in an angry way. Tell her how you feel. Ask her how she feels. I don't know the whole situation, but communication is always the best. Sometimes, time is what is needed, but always be there. Well, you have to be for your daughter anyway, but for a relationship to work, both people have to realize that even though there are rough patches and apparently unsurmountable obstacles, things can be overcome.
I think the counselling is a good idea. If nothing else, it'll get things out in the open and maybe you'll know what can be worked on, if anything.
