The thing I like about livestrong is they have waaaaay more foods loaded than most sites Brian Send a noteboard - 23/03/2010 05:02:14 AM
And, when you get around to it, they also have a recipe section. You can enter recipes you cook frequently and it will calculate the calorie content of them. Tis very simple to use.

Like I said on FB, it's an excellent site, and I think once you get used to it you'll hate it a lot less. Plus, if you exercise that gives you a little room to fudge the calorie numbers. It's concerned with net calories rather than total consumed. So similar to weight watchers, you are able to make up for a slightly bad food day with a bit of exercise.

I've gotten away from using the site of late, mostly because after 6 months of using it I'm fairly adept at estimating my calorie consumption, and at this point with as much running as I've been doing I have a ton of wiggle room in my diet. I don't really do much with the wiggle room, but it's nice to know it's there on days when I really want pizza or a burger. (Although of late the burgers I've been eating are very healthy....a turkey burger, no mayo, no cheese, add guacamole and jalapenos....it's seriously delicious and shockingly good for you)
