My parents got married in 1963 and I can promise you none of my mom's sons would have trouble with washing dishes, or floors or clothes

SHe even made sure we knew how to cook because she didn't want us to get married simply to have someone to tkae care of us.

My parents married fairly young but adopted us rather late after more than ten years of trying for kids of their own and finding out that they couldn't (they were BOTH sterile - talk about your double whammy!)

That puts me pretty culturally out of step with even a lot of my peers although for the most part I've long since overcome it. It does mean I'm not bothered by my wife being perfectly happy as a home-maker though.

May God stand between you and harm in all the empty places you must walk.
