1) I did not say that most or all parents are idiots. Just that many are.

2) My point was not that the statistics are misrepresenting the number of fails/passes. My point is that the demographics of the home school population do not mirror the demographics of a public school in the slightest. I also pointed out that the demographics that often "bring down" a school's test scores are the same demographics that infrequently home school. The overall point being that if those demographics home schooled, the test scores for home school would probably be lower, or at least much different. Even if they weren't, it is not a viable comparison. You are comparing two very very different groups using the same test. It is a bad comparison.
