I mean, really, what's next? If America passes that flag burning amendment that keeps coming up, does that mean Americans with a strong urge to burn their flags should ask for political asylum in Germany so they can burn American flags?
Or even a much less ridiculous suggestion - should American gay couples who aren't allowed to marry in their state in the US start claiming political asylum in Canada or the Netherlands? It would be the same thing - a flagrant abuse of political asylum.
