When you go to a restaurant, do typically tip?
Do you tip a set amount or do you vary based on service quality?
No ... but sometimes a very pretty waitress will get a nicer tip (I know, retarded). Why do you tip or choose not to?
I always tip for sit down meals ... I'm not as nice at fast food restaurants, but will usually leave loose change and maybe a dollar if I have it on me. (Not as easy to do if you pay with a debit card)Pizza delivery, tip the driver?
Yeah ... Why or why not?
Because making minimum wage or less sucks! I know ...Other ideas in the area?
I work in a fast food restaurant right now (Five Guys Jersey City ). I wish there was someway we could add tips onto credit card purchases. I would say about 25% of cash paying customers will leave loose change and even a dollar and loose change, but that makes up probably not even a quarter of the business we do. Everyone pays with cards. Just something, like a little sign in front of the register saying, "Credit and Debit Card Payers, Enjoy the service? Ask about adding a gratuity to your next credit or debit purchase." And then have an option on the register that adds 25 cent gratuity (which would be repeatable if the customer so wanted). I bet we'd get 1-2$ an hour more over the course of a day, which would be a huge help when making only 7.50$ an hour .
I'd say right now I'm averaging 3$ a day in tips ...

I don't tip. It's a cultural thing, it's not common to tip here. *NM*
