Yeah, I didn't spend much time in France and typically wasn't seeing the mornings when I did, for that matter even after three years in germany I doubt I ate breakfast more than a couple dozens times off my post, usually at hostels where they seem to think 'lunch' = 'breakfast' and serve cold cuts. Of course in germany I think it's against the law not to serve pig, preferably in sausage format, at just about every meal. Presumably this exaplins the lack of sausage at Quick, anti-german sentiment. Awful restuarant. Considering the origins of 'french fry' you'd think a belgian and french chain would actually understand the importance of putting salt on their fries.


I'm not sure whether I'm to deduce from this last bit that you've actually eaten in a Quick before - afaik there aren't any in Germany...


Only once and with a hangover and a mouth that tasted like a cattleyard, and I don't recall eating the fries, though I don't really recall much of that entire weekend. I've been to france several times, I was in Hesse and had a car so it wasn't a long trip. On a different occassion we asked a tourist while we in france where to get something to eat and he immediatly assumed we'd want McD's and gave us a long spiel on Quick and McD's, including a prolonged bit on how Quick didn't salt their fries and McD's put too much on.
